Face book groups aim to ID rioters, help clean up
This article was
interesting to me because, we heard a lot about the riots on face book, and the
charges being laid because of face book. What we didn’t hear about was the
groups forming on face book trying to name rioters and setting up a group to
help clean the city. Social media was supposed to help us get our stories out
there, but you never hear about these “good” stories. Do you think we will have
an emergence of “good” social media, or will the regular types of media just cut all the “good” out like they’re used too? I believe until the old sources
of media such as TV/radio news are still around they will continue to pick and
choose there stories and I don’t think many of them will be “happy”.
